Unexpected Pogo Gem Gifts

Pogo Gems

October 10th, 6:55PM – Another update from Pogo :

Dear Valued Players,

As some of you may be aware, we experienced an issue with our recent gem distribution where a larger-than-intended amount of gems was granted to players. This occurred as we were working to compensate for recent game disruptions, and an error in our granting system led to the overage.

We have corrected the issue and all players should now have the correct amount of gems, including the intended 50 gem make-good for the inconvenience caused. We are also implementing additional safeguards to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

October 9th, 12:15PM – Update from Pogo :

Dear Players,

Pogo is aware of an issue with the our Pogo Gem system. We are temporarily suspending all transactions as we investigate the issue.

Our priority is to ensure the security and integrity of all player transactions. We are working diligently to resolve this matter as quickly as possible and will provide an update once transactions are restored.

We expect this will take us a day to resolve and we aim to have an update to you all no later than 24hrs from now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

There is currently a Pogo glitch which is automatically awarding members thousands of Pogo Gems, and it appears to be coming from Pogo_Spike.

I personally have received the following three messages, followed by 999, 999, and 202 gems awarded to my account.

Thank you for reaching out about your missing content. We will grant you back the gems you are missing.

More of the Gems you are missing from the purchase as a one time grant.

The final amount of missing Gems.

I recommend you don’t spend any of these gems. Pogo probably has their hands full trying to sort out what happened, and we don’t need to make things even more difficult for them. I feel that these gems will be removed from our accounts, along with any purchases made with them.

While we wait for an official announcement from Pogo concerning this issue, what are your thoughts on what happening right now? Let us know in the comments below!

I’ve also received over 2,000 gems today and curious on what the heck is going on!

Had them checked by my Jeweler. They are counterfeit. No wonder they gave us so many. April Fools joke in October. HaHa.

Bonnie says

I have a feeling Pogo somehow got hacked. Someone is playing Robin Hood and taking from the rich and giving it to the poor.

SleepyGirl says

I have around 2,250 more gems that I should. You are right, don’t spend the gems. They have enough to worry about right now, as it’s also considering stealing.

Hazel says

If this is not a glitch, whoever is doing this is going to be in a lot of trouble!

I got the messages and gems as well overnight. I would love to keep them.

Thanks for the update!

Nancy W. says

I know a few people who had their gems removed already. It’s only a matter of time before they get around to everyone.

Lisa says

Pogo removed my gems a few minutes ago. I was hoping they were going to forget about me!

DeeDee says

My gems were removed, but it was fun while it lasted.
