Mahjong Sanctuary: New Biome & Power-Ups

The Asia biome and four new power-ups were added to Mahjong Sanctuary today. Guest players also now have access to more than 1,000 levels.

Removed Power-Ups

To remove distractions and simplify gameplay, the following power-ups have been retired:

• Bookmark
• Slow Time
• Undo

New Power-Ups

New, stronger power‑ups are now available to enhance your gameplay:

• Detective: Hover your cursor over tiles to detect partner tiles
• Clone: Transforms four other pairs of tiles into the tile you’ve selected for easy pairing
• Lightning: Removes three open tiles on the board along with their matching tiles
• Tidal Wave: Clears all open tiles and their pairs from the board

In addition, eighteen new badges were added to the game:

Other Updates

The visual experience has also been upgraded across every board. The effect previously tied to the Show Open power‑up is now the default view, making open tiles easier to spot instantly. This change creates smoother decision‑making and a more relaxed, enjoyable gameplay experience.
