How to Play Tile Hero
Tile Hero is a match-3 puzzle game where your goal is to clear tiles by matching three identical ones. Instead of swapping pieces, you tap tiles to move them into your limited holding tray. When three of the same tile are in the tray, they automatically merge and clear.
Be careful – your tray only has a small number of slots. If it fills up before you complete a match, the level ends. Think ahead, plan your moves, and avoid stacking too many different tiles at once.
Each level features new layouts, obstacles, and increasing difficulty. Some tiles may be blocked, layered, or arranged in patterns that require strategic clearing to reach the tiles underneath.
Completing levels earns you stars, which you use to repair buildings, restore landmarks, and progress through the town’s story. As you rebuild, new characters and chapters unlock.
Watch for Golden Tiles during gameplay. These appear briefly and must be collected before they disappear. Gathering Golden Tiles unlocks powerful bonuses that help you beat tougher levels.
Tile Hero also features time-limited special events where you can earn exclusive badges, seasonal rewards, and unique challenges to show off your puzzle‑solving skills.
Power-Ups
There are a total of 4 power-ups for you to choose from.
- Put Back – Returns the last tile on your tray to the board.
- Shuffle – Shuffles all tiles on the board.
- Magnet – Matches the lat tile in your tray.
- Expand Tile Tray – Expand your tile tray by one slot.
Tips
Start by clearing tiles that open up the most space. The more room you create early, the easier it is to avoid filling your tray too quickly.
Keep your tile tray balanced. Avoid holding too many different tile types at once – matching sets of three becomes much harder when every slot is unique.
Look ahead before tapping. If you see two matching tiles on the board, plan where the third one will come from so you don’t accidentally block yourself.
Use Golden Tiles whenever they appear. Collecting them before they disappear unlocks powerful bonuses that help you beat tougher levels.
Pay attention to obstacles and layered tiles. Clearing blocking pieces first often reveals easier matches and prevents your tray from overflowing.
