How to Solve Freezing Issues in Pogo Games

Trizzle Game Freezing

Are you having freezing issues when playing games on Pogo? Look no further, as we have a couple solutions to fix it so it never happens again!

Before you try any of the solutions below, be sure to close any Pogo game windows you have loaded. Otherwise, there is a chance the fix does not get synchronized to the game correctly.

The first thing to do is to adjust your monitors refresh rate. If for some reason this does not work for you, then try disabling your GPU hardware acceleration.

Here is how you can do that :

Adjust Your Monitor Refresh Rate

What you want to do here is lower your monitors refresh rate to 60Hz.

Right-click the desktop screen, and go to : “Display Settings” > “Advanced Display” > “Refresh Rate” > 60 Hz.

Note that once you are finished playing your games on Pogo, you should revert the refresh rate back to its previous setting. Higher refresh rates produce less eye strain, allows for smoother scrolling on websites and reduces or even eliminates ghosting (blurring) while watching movies and videos.

Disable GPU Hardware Acceleration

The next solution to try is to disable GPU hardware acceleration.

Right-click the desktop screen, and go to : “Display Settings” > “Graphics” > “Change default settings”, and turn off “hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling”.

As above, you will want to re-enable this option when you are finished playing your games.

On a personal note, Trizzle has always given me issues and would freeze on my desktop computer only after a few moves. I resorted to using my smartphone or tablet to complete challenges for this game. Adjusting the refresh rate solved the issue for me, and it’s nice to be able to play this game on a large screen.

Do any of the solutions above fix your freezing issues on Pogo? Have any other suggestions you would like to share? Let us know in the comments below!

Try using a different web browser and/or clearing your cache and see if that resolves your issue.

Pandora ad keeps popping up in the middle of a game and stopping the game and I have to refresh to get it to come back up

The Vivant ad is locking and knocking off games. All games. When playing a game the Vivant ad comes up, the screen goes black except for the Vivant banner at the top and 4 small icons down each side. After refreshing all progress is lost. I get it, POGO needs ads but not ones that interfere with the games. No other ad does this. Just Vivant.

You will need to contact Pogo for assistance on this. You can do so by visiting the URL below:

Scroll to the very bottom of that page and click on the “Contact Us” button.

I tried that. It took me to a site with an AI that directed me to a form where you have to pay someone not even associated with Pogo to maybe get an answer and maybe not. The problem is with the ad itself. There seems to be some sort of glitch that causes it to knock the games off. As I stated earlier, it’s only the Vivint ad. None of the other numerous ads affect the games at all. Vivint is the problem.

I’m not sure why you were redirected to a website that was asking for money. The link I gave you takes me directly to the Pogo support page on the EA.com website. I understand the issue you’re describing, but I’m not sure what else to suggest other than contacting Pogo about it.

You may want to try the link again in a different web browser to see if it works for you.

Jo says

Hi Dave, The link you sent was not what sent me to page that asked for money. That was another page I had found.

I used the link you sent and it did connect me to support. The person I chatted with is going to forward my issue to another team that may be able to help. We’ll see. I have to post it again here so they can reply with any progress.

Thank you for your help in supplying the link. I really do appreciate it. —Jo

Dave says

Glad to hear the link worked for you, Jo. Hopefully the Pogo team can sort things out. Thanks for the update, and keep me posted on what they say.

Jo says

Hi Dave. POGO actually removed the Vivint ad so now the games are not locking up anymore. I want to thank you for your help and for providing the link. I really appreciate it. Took me a while to get back to you…holidays and such. Just wanted to let you know you really helped me out here and to thank you. — Jo

Jo says

I will. And again thanks for your help.
